Ultrasound has been in use for more than 50 years as a common medical practice. A few years ago, an important technological breakthrough was made in this field that opens the way for Advance Ultrasonography.

Leandro Fernández MD, is a specialist in this field. He is also the Vice President of the World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology, (WFUMB) 2006-2009; President of the Latin-American Federation of Ultrasound Societies (FLAUS) 2001-2003. Through his work and development in the field, Leandro Fernández, has placed Venezuela at the vanguard of ultrasound technology.
